Hello! I’m Daria, a Product Designer with a history of working in tech and in the service of non-profit organizations.

I’m an experienced product designer, directing the development of complex applications end-to-end. I have led design teams and, as the only designer for years at a growing tech start-up, executed many projects solo. I thrive working in fast-paced agile environments that demand flexibility and present unexpected challenges.

My academic background includes fine arts, art history, liberal arts, and design. In 2018, I completed an MFA in Design while teaching college-level design history, theory, and studio practice. My thesis work focused on web-based interaction design as a tool for collaborative creative expression.

I love art, music, history, and the collective nerdy weirdness that is the Internet. My first foray into web design was in middle school when I developed a passion for GeoCities and later created my own fansites in HTML and CSS.

I’m also committed to community development and have enjoyed working for and volunteering with schools, labor unions, non-profits, and community radio. Whenever possible, I aim to merge my interest in design and technology with ethical and meaningful work.
